We are a small family-owned and operated business with more than 30 years of experience in construction and a passion for custom-crafted solutions that make your home more livable and beautiful.

Blue Ribbon Homes owner, Tom Mulcahy, and his partner, Nancy Cleveland, bring a unique combination of skill, experience and design sensibility to every project. We work with a select set of electricians, plumbers, cabinet makers, countertop installers, and other professionals to provide a complete and seamless experience for our clients, from project start to completion.

We are committed to sustainable construction and work with our clients to select eco-friendly solutions wherever possible.

Our experience and skills

Tom brings experience in all aspects of construction to Blue Ribbon Homes, from hands-on building to overseeing commercial construction projects, including several retail stores across the Midwest. Tom is a suburb craftsperson, specializing in custom cabinetry and intricate tile work. Years of experience allow him to bring creative solutions to any problem. And, as a general contractor, Tom will ensure the timely and smooth completion of each element of your project.

Nancy serves as a design consultant and account manager for Blue Ribbon projects. She listens closely to the client’s goals and desires and works hand in hand with them and Tom to develop innovative solutions that meet their goals. She has an incredible ability to see the unseen and ask the question “what if . . . “. Her design sense helps clients zero in on the right options for their space. The result is kitchens and baths that exceed expectations and delight clients.
